Yatri Motorcycles' P1 has been sold out in less than a month after the reservations went live, the homegrown electric two-wheeler manufacturer has announced. The first phase of reservations has now been closed with deliveries expected to begin by the end of Q1.While it is not known how many units of the electric bike were put up in the first phase, this is impressive considering electric motorcycles are still a rarity in the Nepalese market when compared to the popularity of electric scooters. Yatri Motorcycles will reopen its second phase bookings after a few weeks with deliveries expected to begin in the middle of Q2.To celebrate the overwhelming demand for the Yatri P1 Motorcycle, Yatri Motorcycles is also providing a lifetime free charging on all of Yatri's DC fast charging network, a lifetime P-1 VCU data pack subscription and a standard digital key. The company plans to build 150 P-1 DC Fast Chargers across the country by summer 2022.Yatri's P1 is priced between Rs 4,95,000- Rs 5,44,900 in the Nepalese market. Buyers will have the option of configuring their motorcycles. They will have the option to choose the Colour (Paint, Seat and Suspension finish), Power Pack (Base and Boost), Performance Braking (Base and Stoppie) and Digital Startup Pack (Base and Digital). The pricing varies according to these parameters.

The P1 is lightweight, super agile with great suspension, built for the roads of Nepal, says the company. The compact chassis, high ground clearance (270mm), fat tires, and long-travel suspension of the P1 should make it ideal for our terrain. The peak power of the P1 comes in at 14kW (approximately 19hp) and the maximum wheel torque is 480NM. The claimed top speed is 100kmph and the company boasts of a power-to-weight ratio comparable to 250cc motorcycles.
